MAC - Financial Assistance to Attend Summer Courses
Marine Biological Laboratory and Woods Hole, Massachusetts
The ASCB MAC offers financial support through an NIH National Institute of General Medical Sciences Minority Access to Research Careers grant to minority students admitted to summer courses at the Marine Biological Laboratory (Woods Hole). Interested students apply for courses through the regular MBL competitive admissions process. Admitted students who have identified themselves as underrepresented minorities in science on their course application forms are automatically qualified and considered for financial aid awards. The MBL does not grant academic credit; however, upon completion of a course and at the discretion of the Course Director, appropriate credit value and grade may be assigned. Auditing of courses is discouraged. For more information and an application form visit http://courses.mbl.edu. Course application deadlines and notification dates are also posted on the MBL Website.
