Abstract-Based Presentation Formats
There are three abstract-based presentation format options for Cell Bio 2024:
Special Interest Subgroup Talk
Submission Deadline: August 6 at 9pm ET
Subgroup sessions are 60- or 90-minute sessions featuring groundbreaking research findings on a fundamental or innovative topic. Speakers accepted to Subgroup sessions will be selected to give either a 12-minute or 5-minute talk with approximately 3 or 5 minutes for Q&A, respectively.
Abstracts submitted for Subgroup consideration must select up to two topics of interest for a complete submission. Abstracts will be selected based on the science presented in the abstract and best fit for session.
Subgroup speakers do not receive funds to attend the meeting. If selected and you need travel assistance, consider applying for a travel grant (deadline: September 4).
Topics will be available when Abstract Submission opens in early June. Submitters will have the opportunity to select up to two topics.

Microsymposium Talk (Poster Teaser)- trainees only
Submission Deadline: August 6 at 9 pm EDT
Microsymposia talks are Poster Teasers. Trainees, including postdoc and students are eligible to apply during abstract submission. Each talk is a 4-minute to 5-minute overview of the presenter’s poster without Q&A. Each Microsymposium session will include 10 Poster Teasers selected from top-scoring abstracts each day across all scientific topics. All Microsymposia speakers must also present a poster.
There will be 15 Microsymposia sessions at the meeting. Five concurrent Microsymposia will be presented on each day prior to the poster presentations from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Microsymposia speakers do not receive funds to attend the meeting. If you need travel assistance, consider applying for a travel grant. The deadline to apply is September 6 at 9 pm EDT.

Poster sessions are each 90 minutes, odd poster numbers present from 11:15 am-12:45 pm and even poster numbers present from 1:45 pm-3:15 pm. If you submit for a poster presentation, you must be available on any day. Session and date assignments will be sent out by early November.
Abstract submitters will be accepted to give a poster presentation as long as their abstracts present data, show that research has occurred, and they are not commercial in nature.
