Pre-FRED Grant Writing Workshop

The Pre-FRED Grant Writing Workshop is a one-day event that focuses on the preparation of proposals for programmatic, education, and research grants, especially NSF & NIH grants.

Meeting Objectives are:

  1. To provide grant writing and funding information for postdocs and junior faculty who are eligible to receive federal funding,
  2. To provide information on successful application components for the FRED program,
  3. To assist participants on how to turn an idea for a grant into a grant submission, and
  4. To assist participants who have been unsuccessful in receiving grant funding.

Senior postdoctoral fellows and Junior faculty members from groups historically and currently underrepresented in science and Faculty members from minority serving Institutions are encouraged to register. This is a hybrid event. In-person registration is available for NC locals, but seats are limited.
