Registrations are closed for 2023, but you can review your records via our portal.
Please note: It has come to our attention that some individuals in the community have received emails offering the opportunity to purchase the Cell Bio attendee list. We want to clarify that these lists are securely stored in ASCB's database and are not available for sale by unauthorized companies. The lists these emails claim to be selling are not from ASCB and do not contain any information from the Cell Bio registration system.
Fees
Become an ASCB member and enjoy the lowest rate on meeting registration. As an ASCB member, save on registration and abstract submission fees, as well as, ASCB's many other member benefits. Abstract submission fees are NOT included in registration fees and range from $80 to $135.
Accepted Forms of Payment:
- Credit Card - VISA, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover
- Checks or money orders in U.S. dollars made payable to American Society for Cell Biology. Funds must be received, not postmarked, by the deadline date.
- Requests for Purchase Orders or Invoices are required at least two weeks prior to a deadline for processing.

Registration is nontransferable. Participants are not registered for the meeting until the fees are paid in full. Note: Payment for abstract submission fees is separate from meeting registration fees.
*To receive the Educator rate, you must be an Educator member of the ASCB.

ASCB Member Dues
Current ASCB members and members of the EMBO community* are eligible to register at the discounted member registration rate. If you have never been a member of the ASCB or have let your membership expire, join or renew now! As a new added convenience this year, registrants can also join ASCB during the registration process and the discounted registration rate will be available. Additionally, current ASCB members also have the option to pay their 2024 dues during the registration process if they have not already done so.
If you register at the nonmember rate and become a member later, ASCB will not refund the difference in registration fees. Contact ascbinfo@ascb.org for questions concerning membership. Member dues are non-refundable.

EMBO Member Rates
EMBO Members and EMBO community members* will receive coupon codes from EMBO communications to register at the discounted rates, equivalent to the ASCB Member registration rate plus the rate of ASCB membership. If you missed these emails and need a coupon code, contact communications@embo.org.

Badge Replacement Policy
Attendees who lose their badge may pick up another one from the Badge Replacement counter in the Registration Area. Attendees must show a photo ID and pay a fee of $15. If an attendee loses the second badge, the attendee will need to re-register for the meeting before receiving another badge. You may pick up a replacement badge during attendee registration hours.
Guest Badge Policy
The ASCB and EMBO allow guests of registered attendees. Guests are defined as non-scientist family member or non-scientist friend. If you are a registered scientist who would like a non-scientist family member or friend to see your invited talk or poster presentation, please visit the ASCB Meeting Management Office in the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center on the day of the talk or presentation to check out a guest badge. The guest badge will only be valid for the day and time of the presentation and will need to be returned afterward. Badges that are not returned will be charged the full conference fee.
Child Attendance Policy
Children of attendees are welcome to attend the meeting with their parent or guardian as long as the child is under the supervision of a parent or guardian at all times. Parents or guardians may bring children under the age of 17 to educational events provided the child does not disrupt the event.
Strollers are allowed in the meeting rooms as long as they do not block aisles or emergency exit doors. Strollers are also allowed in the Exhibit Hall, with the exception of set-up and dismantle times.* Parents and guardians are asked to keep in mind corridors, meeting rooms, and the Learning Center can become crowded. Please be award that small children in strollers are at the same level as someone carrying a postertube, bag, briefcase, umbrella, or other object.
Badges will not be issued to children under the age of 17.
*Under no circumstance are children under the age of 17 allowed in the Exhibit Hall during set-up and dismantle times. This includes children of exhibitors.
Cancellation Policy
ASCB honors requests for refunds in writing and received by November 21, 2023. Email requests to ascbinfo@ascb.org. Cancellations are subject to a $40 processing fee for regular and postdoc attendees and $20 for students.
Meeting registration is nontransferable.
