ASCB offers members several types of grants to engage the public. Postdocs and graduate students may apply for COMPASS Outreach Grants to organize activities to engage the public.
In 2018, 2020, and 2021 ASCB offered large Public Engagement Grants of up to $35,000 to ASCB members wishing to engage their communities in the process of science. The grants were made possible by Science Sandbox, an initiative of the Simons Foundation.
ASCB also offers travel and childcare grants to help ASCB members attend the ASCB/EMBO Meeting.
